Named one of the Top 10 Geotourism Destinations in the world by National Geographic in 2010, the Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto is a year-round community public space. The site was originally the Don Valley Brick Works built in 1889 and was a functioning brickyard until 1984. Today, it has been transformed from a collection of heritage buildings into a showcase for green design and urban sustainability – with a farmer’s market, garden market, event space and office space.
