Canada’s most significant award for contemporary photography, the 2014 AIMIA / AGO Photography Prize, is currently on view at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) in Toronto. The exhibit features the four international finalists that were chosen by an international nomination process: David Hartt (Canada), Elad Lassry (Israel / U.S.), Nandipha Mntambo (South Africa) and Lisa Oppenheim (U.S.). Established in 2007, this photography prize is the first major art award to allow the public to vote for the winner. While the winner will be announced on October 29, 2014 at the AGO, the exhibit will be on view until January 4, 2015.
