As I say Danke and Merci to Zurich and Paris, here are the food and stays during this trip:
La Bottega Di Mario is a wonderful ristorante and salumeria in Zürich, earning a Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction.

Catching up with Swiss friends, I was taken to Zeughauskeller, for traditional Swiss fare (warning servings are huge!)

Another Bib Gourmand brasserie that is good is AuGust.

A gem of a restaurant is Bauernschanke, tucked in an alleyway in the old town. Totally deserving of their Bib Gormand.

A modern Japanese izakaya is Gaijin – another casual place with a Bib Gourmand distinction.

An exhibiting gallery at Art Basel invited for dinner at Restaurant Kraft.

Arriving in Paris, first dinner is at Rosemarie (Bib Gourmand).

I went back to Breizh Cafe on this trip for brunch of galette.

Another restaurant I went back to on this trip is Christian Constant’s Les Cocottes. Still solid and good.

After visiting the Bourse museum, it was a Croque Madam lunch at Le Baltard, located just around the corner.

Final dinner on this trip is at another Bib Gourmand – flavourful Korean cooking at La Table de Mee.

For hotel stays: Zürich Marriott was recently renovated and located a 5 minute walk to the train station, which came in handy with the daily train trips made to Basel and Paris.

In Paris, Hotel des Grands Voyageurs is located in Saint-Placide quarter in the 6th Arrondissement. Its interiors blend elegant modernism with vintage detailing that harks back to the golden age of slow travel. I am not too sold on this hotel – some spotty policies and accounting.
