Souveniers – from the religious to Marijuana

I stayed at the Hotel Morrison 114 located at Avenida 19 No. 114 in the northern area of Bogotá. This boutique hotel opened 16 months ago and is managed by Eduardo Sanchez, a very affable gentleman who used to be based in Calgary, Canada. There is a great Spanish restaurant, Chef Julian, next door that serves excellent paella.

And last but not the least, muchas gracias, Señor Juan David Camacho! My very professional and knowledgeable guide. Juan is a History major working on his Master’s thesis. On a four-hour drive out of town, he proceeded to give me an in-depth history lesson of the country and in the middle of it, he noticed that I was about to doze off. “Let me know if you want me to shut up” he said…. “Si, por favor!”
